What To Expect

We know that your first time to a new church can be a little awkward, especially for your kids. So here are some answers to some typical questions...

  • Where are services held?
We meet at 5755 Cassandra Smith Road. which is just a half mile south of Hixson Pike.
  • How should I dress?
No need to feel like you have to dress up. Just be you and be comfortable.
  • What is the music like?
Our contemporary praise and worship lasts for about 25 minutes.
  • Who attends?
We actually have a wide variety of every age group. The core of our church is families with kids and teenagers. We also have singles, young marrieds and "empty nesters."
  • What are the messages like?
"Boring" is not a word in our vocabulary. Every Sunday our goal is to share practical life lessons that we can apply in our lives every day of the week. The sermons are approximately 45 minutes in length.

  • What if I don't fit the church mold?
Awesome! We are not looking for "churchy people" from other churches. We desire to reach out to our community and impact individuals that don't usually go to church. Our church is filled with normal people just like you that face the same challenges of life in their relationships, finances, and health.
  • How big is your church and how big will it get?
We are currently running around 100 in attendance. Our goal is to continually reach out to our community and share the love of Jesus Christ. We believe we will always be growing. There is no magical number at which we will pull the shades, lock the doors, and become a Christian club. Our desire is to faithfully serve and minister to all that God sends to us this week and in the years to come.
  • What about my baby?
When you walk into our lobby our greeters will direct you to our fully equipped nursery which is located just down the hallway from the auditorium. You are more than welcome to keep your baby with you in service or in our nursery.
  • What about my kids?
We value the opportunity for families to worship together and so the children stay in with their parents for the first part of the service. After praise and worship the K-5th graders are dismissed to go to Kids' church which meets in Super Kids Room with Brian & Judy Lane and the Children’s Church volunteers. There will be videos, games, and simple Bible lessons to get your child started in their walk with God.
  • Who will be working with my children?
We carefully screen and do a background check on all volunteers that work with the children and teenagers. We have an incredible team of loving and caring individuals to take care of your kids so you can have peace of mind.
  • What about Zion, the Sunday morning youth service?
After praise & worship it’s held in the upstairs auditorium from 10:30-12:00 on Sunday mornings.
  • What can teenagers expect?
Service kicks off with food and fellowship, and then a practical but challenging message from our youth staff. We believe God can change a life with one word, so we're heavy on experience and light on being cheesy. Parents are always welcome.
